Background tasks

.Background tasks are tasks executed by Passwork in the background. For example, LDAP synchronization, favicon loading and other tasks that need time and resources to be processed. To see the list of scheduled tasks and check the settings, go to the Background tasks section in Settings and users:

Tasks history

On the Tasks History tab, you can view all completed tasks, their logs, filter or delete them.

Additionally, you can view the recently completed tasks by clicking on the Background tasks icon on the top panel:

Set up background tasks

To set up background tasks, you need to configure the scheduler of your operating system: Cron for Linux or Windows Scheduler. You can find detailed info on setting up schedulers on different platforms here.

The system logs of the Passwork task scheduler are located in <Passwork folder>/app/logs/run-command.log.
